YOUR LIFE. YOUR JOURNEY. YOUR POTENTIAL.
Sometimes the hardest thing about working out is just getting out the door. Once a workout begins that motivation can be as strong as ever. Vitamin K can help restore mitochondria which are the cell's energy factories (Boengler, Kosiol, Mayr et al, 2017)).
Having more functioning mitochondria cells in your muscles means having more energy for your muscles to grab from.
Having more functioning mitochondria cells are super important for feeling energized and motivated to execute your workout. Your heart is a muscle meaning Vitamin K is going to improve and restore those mitochondria in it allowing for the manufacturing of ATP. Which is the body’s energy currency.
Vitamin K also helps regulate energy metabolism in the skeletal muscle (Vos, Esposito, Edirisinghe et al, 2012). This helps an athlete regulate their body heat temperature. When the body starts moving every functioning muscle starts heating up. So, having Vitamin K in your system will aid in the regulation of heat and energy both when it’s hot and when it's cold outside.
